Martin Luther King Jr. Organizing Weekend

The kiddo went down to Georgia for a GLSEN conference. Her first time flying alone, and she had to travel on one of those teeny little puddle jumpers.  She was one of less than 30 kids selected to participate in this organizing event. What did I do with my free weekend? Packed… flopped around, tried to get the cat to eat some hair ball remedy… so exciting LOL.

Every time I have these times with an empty house (well empty except for the furbabies) I miss the kiddles, but I still don’t “get” the empty nest drama. I mean they’re not “GONE” they’re just somewhere else.. a phone, email, text message away
